The 2nd Annual Dragon Dash of Castle Hills was held on Oct. 23, 2006 in the Castle Hills neighborhood in Lewisville, TX. Event organizers were Kathryn McGhee, Erica Black and Lindi Kessinger and a huge support from their spouses.
Over 400 walkers and runners pre-registerd for the event. $32,000 was raised despite the threatening stormy weather conditions all morning. A forty minute downpour started just as the races were finishing. We had at least a third of the crowd who braved the rain and stayed around for the bounce house, petting zoo, fabulous silent auction, Mcdonald's apple dippers and frozen lemonade.
We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the 13 families from surrounding areas who have loved ones with PWS who came and joined us. Thank you to Castle Hills and all of its very generous neighbors and businesses who supported us. A huge thank you to all the friends, neighbors, and colleagues who supported these different PWS families through their presence,donations and/or prayers. A big thank you to the many busniness and individuals who donated all the great items for our silent auction.
